Hard Currency Articles
Governments’ easy money policies can have profound effects on the long-term value of many of your investments. Monetary policy can erode cash value and any asset denominated in cash value. Monetary policy decisions may also be disruptive to fixed income asset prices like bonds and Treasuries.
Investors should consider adding a diversified selection of hard currencies to their portfolios. “Hard currencies” refers to currencies in which investors have confidence, such as those of economically and politically stable countries. Coincidentally, gold is the only currency with intrinsic value and, as such, qualifies as a hard currency.
